About
Welcome to Ginza, a delightful izakaya-style ramen spot tucked away at 103 102nd Ave SE, Bellevue, WA. This gem is not just about noodles; it's a culinary journey where traditional Japanese flavors meet a casual dining atmosphere. Whether you're celebrating with friends, looking for a family-friendly dinner, or just in need of delicious takeout, Ginza has something for everyone.
Ginza stands out for its extensive menu, which boasts a variety of vegetarian options and exciting dishes that cater to different dietary needs, including soy-free alternatives. Guests can indulge in fresh sushi that arrived highly praised, like the sashimi and nigiri, particularly the uni and scallop, which have been noted for their sweetness and quality. The numerous rolls, such as the mega rainbow roll and the dragon roll, were also highlighted by diners for their generous sizes and vibrant flavors, making for a satisfying meal.
Joy Q. summed up the seafood experience perfectly, lauding the freshness of the sashimi. However, some cooked dishes, like the tofu in yuzu and salmon teriyaki, fell short of the high expectations set by the raw offerings. So, while some dishes merit a return visit, others may leave you wishing for more.
Atmosphere-wise, Ginza maintains a casual vibe with moderate noise levels, perfect for group gatherings or family dinners. The service generally receives high marks, but be prepared to ask for that extra water when the staff are busy. Customers have noted that reservations are a smart move, especially on weekends.
In terms of convenience, Ginza offers a variety of utilities: you can make reservations, enjoy delivery and takeout, and there's even catering available for larger groups. Plus, their happy hour specials are an added bonus, making it an even more tempting spot for a night out.
In a location that can be tricky for parking, Ginza reflects the charm of Bellevue's dining scene. From satisfied diners reporting on the juicy ribs to the complimentary sweet treats that cap off the meal, it's an experience that deserves to be savored. So grab your appetite and head over to Ginza — where every bite brings you closer to the heart of Japanese cuisine.
“ I loved the sashimi and nigiri here (favorite was uni and scallop. Fresh and has a hint of sweetness. Top quality) As for the cooked/stir fried dishes, they were really just mid. Tofu in Yuzu, salmon teriyaki etc. nothing that I'm dying to order again ”
“ We went here after going to the mall and sat at the bar with no wait on Sunday night. We ordered the short ribs, the crunch roll, the Seattle crunch roll, the spicy salmon roll and the mochi ice cream. The waiters were busy so you had to ask for water and we ordered a second time, but the food all came out quickly. The rolls were good, I felt like the fish and shrimp were quality seafood and you could watch them prep it right in front of you. The ribs were juicy, but a little tough and a small dish. The mochi ice cream is good, there's 2 of them on a little dish. At the end, they give you candy and fruit with the check which was a nice touch. We come here often when we come to Bellevue because it's a decent deal for the price, good food and filling. ”
“ Wonderful service, amazing food. The pumpkin fried rice is the best. Highly recommend this place. Make reservations because they get super busy. ”
“ Best choice for casual dining! Good quality fresh fish and hot dishes. Pickled cucumbers are complementary as well as Individual small dish of fruit. Any Kama (Collar) is juicy. Tuna Collar is off the menu but is occasionally available. Pumpkin fried rice is delicious! Rolls are good sizes. They have 2 rooms behind screen slider doors you sit down on the floor and take off shoes but your feet still sit like in a regular booth, no need to go on your knees for a few hours. Call to make group reservations in the private rooms that can only be 1.5 hours at set start times with a min spending amount. ”
“ This is one of many restaurants that is located near the Downtown Bellevue Park, which means the entire area's parking is quite rough getting around, whether you decide to park on the streets, at the park or in the very small parking lot that this place shares with a nearby antique store. Nevertheless, I loved my experience here with my group of four! There is ample seating inside, with at least two tatami rooms nearby and an area that looks like a sushi bar. Place is somewhat cramped but relatively clean, and my group of four didn't have to wait to be seated at around 6:30pm on a Friday night. I would come here before 7:30 or 8pm as a line can form for here, and for good reason! We got a variety of sushi dishes, including the mega rainbow roll, the dragon roll and the spider roll. For a main dish, I got the chicken katsu dinner. Every roll was extremely tasty in their own way, and my favorite ended up being the mega rainbow roll because of the variety of fish and seafood that was put on top of each roll. The sushi sizes were very big too, which I loved a lot! Chicken Katsu was a little dry but that didn't affect my dish. One of my friends got the chicken teriyaki dinner, and he felt the chicken was pretty dry. When I tasted it myself, I had the same thought. Despite that, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here and would love to try their other choices of sushi when I'm back around the area! ”
“ Nice small restaurant in old Bellevue! Food fresh and to order nicely presented! One waitress eho was vested in making it a good experience, we'll be back! ”
“ My second visit! We ordered too much and had the American dream roll, ginza plate with spicy tuna, pumpkin fried rice, and the miso soup. Ginza Plate with spicy tuna: I didn't like the assorted nigiri because some of the fish tasted slimy. The unagi nigiri was my favorite. The spicy tuna roll was decent and I liked that much more than the nigiris. Miso soup: the tofu pieces are much bigger than I'm used to. Solid. Pumpkin fried rice: my favorite dish of the night, I would get this again. It tastes exactly how it sounds and I liked the crispier rice in it. American dream roll: it tasted fine, my friend like it! Overall, I had a good experience and will be back to order the pumpkin fried rice and to try something new! ”
“ one of my favorite meals i've had on the eastside. i can't believe there's such a good japanese restaurant close to me. pumpkin fried rice was a large portion and came piping hot. incredibly tasty. the pork belly was also delicious, marinated well and tender cuttlefish was interesting and also marinated in a nice sauce the eggplant we expected more of, not going to lie ended with complimentary fruit! ”
